News & Screencaps

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in a couple of weeks; I've been a messload of busy. Anyway, I have some new articles to link to and some other goodies.

First, I'm thrilled to announce that Fandom Talk will be recapping Jericho. Full disclaimer: I'm a co-admin for the site and I confess I lobbied for us to carry it, although I won't be the recapper. That will be the talented Nova A. We hope y'all will enjoy the recaps, send Nova feedback, and visit us on the forum Also, for anyone interested, the other new shows we're picking up are Friday Night Lights, Heroes and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and we'll be recapping CSI, Grey's Anatomy, House, Lost, Numb3rs, Prison Break and Supernatural for a second year.

Second, the lovely and generous marishna has given me permission to link to the screencaps she made of the pilot. Spoilers abound because she's written a review besides posting the caps, so beware spoilerphobes. Thanks, marishna!

And third, the articles round-up:

Series about nuclear blast, asteroid disaster tap into national angst. Another article about how TV is being influenced by America's collective fears and hopes related to 9/11, war in the Middle East, Katrina, etc. Interesting read, with emphasis on Jericho and 3 Moons Over Milford, but it also mentions how the themes relate to a bunch of the other new shows.

A reporter from TV.com goes behind the scenes. Awesome article, and my favorite part is where the story editor compares to the show to a cross between Battlestar Galactica and The West Wing. Innnnnteresting.

Jericho Secrets Unfold Slowly. Good to know the producers know whhere they're going. Heh.

Jericho's Hero is a Cipher. Very brief article about Jake/Skeet.

That's it for today! As the premiere approaches, I expect there will be lots more news and reviews to post. And please don't be shy - if you've got anything Jericho-related to post, please do so. Particularly, if any of the talented icon makers out there could hook me and/or the community up with an awesome icon, that'd be, um...awesome. =D
