Chicago Tribune & Jericho Blog update

The Chicago Tribune has an article today talking about the upcoming season. There are some definite spoilers about the story arc in the link, so you've been warned. The following quote, though, had me cracking up.
Now creative minds behind the CBS drama have an action plan for the new, seven-episode season of the show: Work more edible, send-able treats into the show.

"We were joking amongst ourselves that we were going to try to insert into each show something that the fans could … go crazy about," Lennie James, who plays Robert Hawkins, said at a recent panel about the show at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

“That’s bananas!” executive producer Carol Barbee added with a laugh.

As a general rule for shows with doubtful futures but passionate fan bases, “I highly recommend… inserting the name of... some sort of mailable food product in the season finale,” she said.

Also, the Jericho Blog: The Salty Scoop has been updated with set pictures from the season 1 finale. I really think you should check them out - Gerald McRaney looks iconic in some of them.

In other news, there's a petition to get CBS to change the board structure on the original site. PLEASE SIGN IT - that forum is a real pain sometimes.

Jericho fans have created a cookbook (I kid you not) that you can submit recipes to. Don't laugh - I actually checked it out and some of these are really inventive and fun. Check out the site!

And, in case I didn't mention it before, Jerichon is still on for the weekend of Sept. 14-16 in Oakley Kansas. You can find out more about the schedule of events here and other info for the convention.
